Who is this course for?

Aspiring artists, full-time artists, small businesses and hobbyists looking to learn how to follow my personal digital illustration process. I believe a seasoned artist and a newbie can both benefit from this course. It is designed as a step-by-step guide, easy to follow for someone who has never picked up an iPad before.
No experience necessary.

what's included? What will I learn?

The course includes an 87-page PDF formatted as a slideshow presentation. This PDF serves as an in-depth, step-by-step guide to my personal illustration process.

You’ll also get access to two exclusive videos:

  1. T-Shirt Design Tutorial: This detailed, step-by-step video walks you through creating a T-shirt design from start to finish. I cover everything—my workflow, favorite tools and shortcuts, how to organize your layers, mock up your design, and export your files properly for production.

  2. Full-Page Illustration Walkthrough: This is more of a “draw with me” style video, where I walk you through creating a detailed, full-page illustration or art print. It’s a relaxed session where I talk about finding your art style, share personal tips, and explain some of my favorite techniques along the way.

the navigation page straight from the course PDF to give you an overview of all the different things you will learn!

what softwares and tools will I need?

Adobe Fresco is the main illustration app we’ll dive into in this course. The exciting news? Adobe Fresco now offers a FREE version! This means you can test it out and see if it’s your vibe before deciding to upgrade to the premium version.

We’ll also explore a few optional tools:

  • Procreate: Perfect for sketching and exclusive to iPads.

  • Adobe Photoshop: Great for creating realistic mockups.

  • Adobe Illustrator: My go-to for putting those finishing touches on all my artwork.

For this course, you’ll need a tablet—ideally a newer iPad Pro, but any tablet compatible with Adobe Fresco is fine. Keep in mind that Procreate is only available on iPads, but it’s optional for the course. You’ll also need an Apple Pencil (or a stylus compatible with your tablet) and a laptop or desktop computer.

I personally use a 2023 Apple iPad Pro, an Apple Pencil, and a MacBook Pro. These are my tools of choice, but feel free to work with what you have as long as it meets the requirements!

In this course, I share everything—from generating ideas and finding inspiration to refining your sketching and drawing techniques. You'll learn the basics of digital illustration, including file types, as well as a deep dive into the essential tools of Adobe Fresco.

I’ll walk you through my brush settings and show you how I create my signature line art look, add flat colors, highlights, and shadows, and even how I use Adobe Illustrator to finalize my work. Plus, I’ll cover layer organization, exporting your files, and mocking up your designs on products. And that’s just the beginning!
